There has been recent changes in the Google AdWords interface for certain accounts in the past weeks which has allowed advertisers greater ability to automate changes within Google AdWords themselves. These latest changes are called ‘bulk operations’ and allow advertisers to make amendments to: Campaign Budgets, Destination URL’s, Appending and Pre-pending Keywords, Changing cases of keywords and ad copy, Find and Replace and other bulk edit features.
Personally, we think all these changes are a good thing as it allows advertisers to make amendments to their campaigns more quickly and efficiently than downloading campaigns into Google AdWords Editor and making changes there.
However, we know that Google invest time and effort developing Google AdWords Editor and they are always having new releases of Editor with the latest features that are added in to the Google API with the latest developments in Google AdWords. But is this latest innovation Google’s way of getting rid of Google AdWords Editor in the future?
We asked Google on this matter but they couldn’t confirm either way whether there was a plan to phase Google AdWords Editor out in the future, but we are speculating that this may be the case. What do you think?
