The latest innovation from Google we have found (but haven’t read any other announcements about) is a new ad type – ‘Promotion Ads.’
Rather than the usual ‘Why These Ads’ appearing on the top right of sponsored ads box which is coloured in Yellow, eg -
(We chose this ad, because we liked the little Xmas lights that Google put into their SERP’s for any Christmas related queries 
)
If you search for any site with the query ‘site:http://www.mysite.com’ then you will see the latest ‘Promotion Ads’ from Google which has ‘Google Promotion’ in the top right hand corner and a blue background to the ad…
Interesting to see Google trying to differentiate their own ads in this fashion. But still surprising to not of heard anything about this latest development (if anyone has, please let us know!)
