Google Blogs & Duplicate Content

We were reading Google’s Search Blogs yesterday and noticed that their blogs contain duplicate content…which Google tells SEO’s is not good for SEO (providing unique content ‘n’ all that!) So how come two of Google’s search blogs yesterday posted exactly the same articles within 4 minutes of eachother…

Inside AdWords

Google Blogspot

Fair point that they do state ‘Cross-posted from theĀ Official Google Blogbut why do they do that? Obviously, they are duplicating content here, but why?

Always one conspiracy is that Google doesn’t worry about duplicate content and getting their own blogs to rank for content, because they can just manipulate the search results anyway.

But, enough of conspiracy theories…isn’t it just frustrating that all of Google’s blogs say the same thing? (slight exaggeration we know.) We cant remember the last time Matt Cutts blogged about anything of interest (its all about skydiving and what books he’s reading this week!)
