The mystery surrounding Google’s sitelinks continues into what are the requirements to get sitelinks appearing on your top keywords. We reported in our previous post Using Symbols in Google Sitelinks for PPC Ad’s about using symbols in sitelinks, but we’ve also been seeing new kinds of sitelinks appearing recently, which are appearing all on one line…
We’ve spoken to Google about these new sitelinks and they have told us that these are a new beta sitelink that they are testing for advertisers who don’t qualify as yet for full sitelinks.
Google’s response was…
SITELINKS NOT ALWAYS TRIGGERED
The one line sitelinks don’t always trigger as they’re in a very small
experiment. Sitelinks in general won’t always trigger on a search because the auction changes everytime you search, therefore the factors that make a sitelink eligible can change.
Oneline sitelinks can also appear in right hand side results, just in case you see them.
An interesting development from Google and we wait to see sitelinks appearing on the righthand side as yet.
